PLAYtime Caregivers

Your child will be cared for by experienced and qualified caregivers who are fully trained in CPR and First Aid and have passed an FBI criminal history background check. PLAYtime caregivers also receive continuous training in child care regulations and child development through state approved courses and seminars.

Child to Caregiver Ratios

PLAYtime cares for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 years. Children are assigned to caregivers by their age. This allows the PLAYtime caregivers to supervise children in age appropriate areas of our center and to offer age appropriate activities to children who are under their care. PLAYtime's caregiver to child ratios adhere to the ratios set forth by the Texas Department of Family Protective and Regulatory Service.

Registration Process

A registration packet must be completed upon each child's first visit. For pre-school aged children, a copy of the child's immunization records and a health professional statement are required to be on file at PLAYtime. At registration, PLAYtime will take a digital photo of the child and the child's parents. These photos will be placed in the child's account for i.d. verification. Upon each visit, children must be signed in by the parent (or authorized person) on the PLAYtime sign in sheet. For children 3 years and younger, parents must also complete an infant and toddler information sheet. Parents are asked to label all of the child's belongings before they enter the center. We also advise parents to provide an adequate supply of diapers and bottles in case the child stays longer than expected.

Caring for your Child

PLAYtime will provide diapers to children as needed at an additional charge of $1.00 per diaper. Children are offered complimentary snacks at 10:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Meals are served at 8:00 a.m., 12 noon and 6:00 p.m. for an additional charge of $4.00. For children 3 and under, the infant and toddler information sheet will be completed for your child which advises diaper changing times, activities, feeding information and any other pertinent information about your child's stay.

PLAYtime caregivers perform planned activities with your child during their stay. All activities and take home crafts are provided by PLAYtime at no additional cost. At pick up time, parents must initial the parent sign in sheet. Children will only be released to persons who are authorized for pick up in the child's account.

Meals and Snacks

PLAYtime Hourly Child Care offers snacks or meals to children; every two to three hours as scheduled below.

8:00 a.m.	Breakfast or snack

3:00 p.m.	Snack
6:00 p.m.	Dinner or snack
8:00 p.m.	Snack

Children may bring their own meals and snacks as long as they are prepared and/or microwavable. PLAYtime is not responsible for the nutritional needs of children who bring their own meals.

PLAYtime Meal Menu

All meals are served with a drink (fruit punch,apple juice, milk or water), vegetable (corn or green beans) and fruit cocktail.
